Thanks to some enthusiastic Dutch people, this phenomenon was brought to Ibiza six years ago. Where the first year began with a small group, the number of participants increases each year. Meanwhile, the last edition brought some 80 divers to the shoreline. Germans, Spaniards and English also know how to find Salinas beach on January 1 to start the new year fresh. Instead of soup, you will be welcomed with a glass of champagne after the dive to toast the new year and your heroic deed. Because a heroic act it still is! The sea may be milder than the North Sea, but warm is different….
